If when you try to enter a chatroom, you get repeatedly bounced back out, take the
following steps.
- With Internet Explorer open press Alt-T followed immediately by the letter O.
- Next do a single Shift-Tab. This will place you in the Tab Controls
and the heading will say General.
- Now use the Right Arrow to move to the Advanced setting. This is as
far to the right as you can go.
- Now Tab once, this will place you in a tree view with
many items in it.
- Down arrow until you find an item that says "Empty Temporary
Internet Files Folder when browser closes." You can toggle this item on and off
by pressing the space bar. When the item is on, a screen reader will say
something like "On" or "Checked".
- Next locate the Apply button with the Tab and press Enter on it. If there is
no Apply button just press Enter on Ok.
- If there is an Apply Button than be sure to press Enter on the Ok Button before
exiting and closing the browser.
You are now finished and from now on each time you close Internet Explorer it will
empty the Temp Folder. We have found this to usually help with the
problem of getting into rooms.
